Maccas - Squid Games Takeover

It was an incredible privilege to collaborate with Akcelo for the release of season 2 of the Squid Games in Australia and New Zealand, Akcelo and Maccas partnered with Netflix to do a campaign with a special launch in the stores. This is a new format of content that was produced for the first time, so we had a couple of challenges getting the content up and running smoothly and consistently.
This content appears overlaying the main menu on stores across all Au and ZN. A big challenge is that this content will appear in more than 1000 stores, and they have a variation of menu screen configurations, anywhere from 3 to 7 monitors, in both vertical and horizontal arrangements, we ended up needing about 9 different versions of each design.
As this was the first time creating this type of content, I joined as the motion designer. I built a template that auto-splits the final render into all the screen formats and also a master visual to check everything at once. This helped us keep things consistent and do initial quality checks before the proper review of the high-quality screens.
We had many challenges figuring out the best workflow, but I’m really happy with the final product and always have a great time working with Akcelo.
